Our aim at The Indian Open is three-fold: education, empowerment, and support. We believe that parents and students across the country need to be educated about the diverse benefits of sports education. By highlighting the crucial role of sports in children’s life, we aim to encourage children to participate in sports activities in their schools and beyond. For this purpose, we will be publishing an online article series that explores topics related to sports education and holistic development. We are also curating a series of story books geared towards younger audiences, to inspire children to step out of their comfort zone and through sports and athletics. While education is the first step, we do recognize the need for improved sporting facilities and infrastructure in schools. In this vein, we will be working to improve infrastructure in existing sporting facilities in schools pan India.
